Duck Move Out Day

It seems that we have a family staying in the bungalow that is moving their son into his dorm at Norwich and the ducks are graduating out of the barn milk room to the big duck "Quack Shack". The baby ducks arrived at the post office 5 weeks ago and now stand about a foot tall. They have lost their baby duck fuzz and it has been replaced with their grown up feathers. We are saying all the same things the parents that are doing college drop offs are saying. "The time went so fast." "How did they get to this point so quickly." "I hope they handle the transition well." With each new setting there is a little apprehension and a lot of excitement. For us, this represents one more positive step in farm infrastructure. Baby ducks will never need to be in the milk room again. Baby piglets will never need to be in the milk room again. Really cool that we are getting more infrastructure in place that will make future livestock projects so much easier.
